MicMas ReMiX was born in 2016 in the Bronx, New York, from the personal journey of founder Adassa Ramirez.
As a new mother, Adassa became more conscious of the ingredients used in products for her babies. It created an awareness that soon led her to reevaluate the hair and skincare products she had been using herself. This shift inspired her to return to basics.
Growing up, Adassa’s mother relied on natural ingredients like coconut oil, olive oil, and aloe vera to care for her hair, which helped her maintain healthy, strong, waist-length hair throughout childhood. That changed during her teenage years, when relaxers and store bought products severely compromised her hair’s health.
Years later, now a mother herself, Adassa began formulating high quality natural and organic oils and butters to restore her hair and support her skincare routine. After experiencing noticeable improvements, friends and family began requesting bottles of her formulations.
Encouraged by their support, Adassa decided to share her creations beyond her circle. MicMas ReMiX was officially launched in 2016 and has since been rooted in both New York City and Puerto Rico honoring her heritage while providing thoughtfully crafted products designed to nourish hair and skin naturally.
