MicMas ReMiX was born in 2016 in the Bronx, New York, rooted in culture, motherhood, and a return to what actually works. Founded by Afro-Latina entrepreneur Adassa Ramirez, the brand began during a season of deep awareness. 

As a new mother, Adassa became intentional about the ingredients used on her children a shift that soon extended to the products she was using on her own hair and skin. Growing up, her mother cared for her hair using simple, natural ingredients like coconut oil, olive oil, and aloe vera which were practices that supported healthy, strong, waist-length hair throughout childhood. 

That foundation was disrupted in her teenage years, when relaxers and store bought products compromised her hair’s health. Years later, determined to restore what had been lost, Adassa began formulating plant-forward oils and butters to support her hair and skincare routine. 

The results were undeniable. Friends and family began requesting her blends, not just for their effectiveness, but for how they honored textured hair without trying to change it. Encouraged by that response, MicMas ReMiX was created to serve coils, curls, locs, and coarse textures with intention and respect. 

Today, the brand is rooted in both New York City and Puerto Rico, honoring heritage while offering thoughtfully crafted products that nourish hair naturally.
